Building on genetic engineering technologies cultivated through our research reagent business, we are focusing on the development of diagnostic products for viruses that cause infectious diseases, as well as “glocal” product development tailored to regional characteristics and needs around the world.

Contributing to the life science community

We are supporting the life science community by sponsoring various life science and bio-related academic conferences and events including technology seminars targeting bio researchers. We are also working to promote social understanding of biotechnology by participating in seminars held at universities and organizations and hosting publicity workshops for university students.
We also commercialize promising academic technology seeds through open innovation.

Initiatives for achieving gene therapies

We are advancing gene therapy–related technologies to address unmet medical needs through the creation and practical application of platform technology for biologics development that leverages expertise in gene and cell technologies. In addition, we are promoting a CDMO business that supports the development and manufacturing of regenerative medicine, cell therapy, and gene therapy products, while also engaging in the development and commercialization of ancillary materials for new modalities.
